Launch Minnesota Grant Administrator
Nila Gouldin, Launch Minnesota Grant Manager, works to promote equity in all areas, especially the public sector. The opportunity to engage in equity work at the state level began in 2002. She was part of the Eliminating Health Disparities Initiative (EHDI) team that disseminated $10 million across the State of Minnesota to address the racial/ethnic health disparities. EHDI was the intersection of health and equity; it was housed in the Office of Minority and Multicultural Health at Minnesota Department of Health. These grant practices provided emerging best practices for the current Office of Grant Management established in 2007. Most recently, she managed the finance and accounting of a $30 million governmental grant award portfolio for Hennepin Healthcare Systems (HCMC). Born and raised in the Twin Cities, she holds a graduate degree in community health education from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health and an undergraduate degree in marketing from Metropolitan State University.
